As a health delivery and research organisation, THINK engages with the local community, government consortia, and international funders to provide care for over 100,000 people in KwaZulu-Natal and carry out cutting-edge clinical research that has already contributed to changing treatment guidelines internationally and locally. THINK is looking to appoint a diligent and passionate person to join the team as Finance Administrator. The individual will provide finance and administration support to the project site team.
The Finance Administrator will be based at the Project Office in Botha’s Hill, Durban.
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Roles and Responsibilities of the Finance and Administration Manager
The Finance Administrator will provide operational support to the project team. S/he will be supporting the Senior Finance Officer with the financial and administrative functions of the project, including procurement and management of daily site administration.
S/he will assist in ensuring that the administrative and operations management systems and processes required to maintain project implementation are in compliance with THINK policies. The Finance Administrator will assist in overseeing procurement processes and provide finance support at site level.
Qualifications and experience:
- National Diploma in Finance;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Finance Administrator;
- At least 1 year of experience working in an NGO environment;
- Strong excel skills;
- Experience with Pastel Partner or Evolution and strong bookkeeping skills;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow through on assignments;
- A valid Code B Driver’s License and own transport;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
